But Time and Chance is not in Short Supply

The future is open; we decide what’s in it.
~Wolfgang Sonnenburg
I know that today as you are reading this post, you have been telling yourself to get ready for big things, big achievements probably for the last five or ten years. In other words you have been getting ready to be ready all this time. The reality is that you are still in the same place and have not moved an inch! All you may have is a story. But is this the way you should live?

Life can be and should be an amazing journey, full of wonder and excitement. Having and pursuing big dreams guarantees it will be a worthwhile ride. You’ve just only got so much of it so don’t waste any minute! Time is the most valuable resource available to all, just like the wisdom of Solomon declares;
Ecc_9:11  I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.

Oh you need is to conceive A BIG goal. The idea doesn’t have to be perfect, just implement it. Don’t wait to see all the pieces together. You don’t need to figure it all out in order to get started. Al you need to focus on is the final destination. Leave the ‘How’ to God to handle. A goal that is in alignment with your values will require you to draw on inner resources and strength that you may not even know you possess. But you do. Know that you have deep reservoirs of talent and ability within you from the creator; just imagine the excellent God, do you think He could churn out poor products called human beings? No way!

The almighty is waiting on you. He created the mountains for you to climb and not for HIM to come and climb for you. If, in fact, you are living the life of your dreams, perfect! Keep doing what you’re doing. If not, you must summon the courage to shift from the paradigm of mediocrity where everyone is doing what everyone in the block is doing with the fear of failure stopping people to breakout of bondage. Move towards what you would like to have, do, or be by taking action today. Not tomorrow. Today, Imagine what your days would look like if you were truly living the life you dream of?

Thumbs up to your success!

Activate your prosperity awareness

"Gratitude is not only the greatest of virtues, but the parent of all the others"
~Cicero

To speak gratitude is courteous and pleasant, to enact gratitude is generous and noble, but to live gratitude is to touch Heaven. A life lived in the spirit of gratitude is a life living in the abundance. Gracious people are very generous people and that is the reason abundance seem to knock on their doors without warning.

Without gratitude you can never be aware of prosperity because ungrateful people always live in lack and there is never enough for them all the time. If you desire to activate your prosperity awareness begin your day with gratitude and tune in that wonderful emotion of grace or gratitude. Use a statement like

“Today I am grateful for opportunity!”

Opportunity is EVERYWHERE. Even if you aren't tuned into it right now, it is everywhere. The trick is to tune in to the channel of Prosperity. The reason is that once you expect to see opportunity all around you, everything shifts and tunes you in to the energy of prosperity. Therefore, Today, decide to see small and large opportunity in the world around you. Discover it in your life and in the lives of others.

And when you do - CELEBRATE IT!

Decide --> Tune in --> Celebrate

Gratitude will cost you less but the rewards are priceless

7 Motivational Quotes To Start Your Day, Everyday!

Today a friend of mine sent me some motivational soups for my soul that I could do well to take every morning to supercharge my soul as I wake up to life’s challenges: adapted from RichGrad.com

- George Bernard Shaw

“The true measure of a man is not how he behaves in moments of comfort and convenience but how he stands at times of controversy and challenges.”

“Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs even though checkered by failure, than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy nor suffer much because they live in that gray twilight that knows neither victory nor defeat.”
- Theodore Roosevelt

“Success is going from failure to failure without losing your enthusiasm.”
- Winston Churchill

“I have not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work.”

Developing the Habit of Success

Rom_10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God

The faith we develop in our belief system is what enables us to endure through life whether our belief system is right or wrong. Every belief system is spoken out through conversations and affirmations including songs. Therefore, out of the spoken words or affirmations including songs,  we develop the images that form the basis of our faith. Throughout our lives we develop our faith from the things that we hear from our parents and culture. The things we hear everyday form our core belief. We re-enforce these beliefs by repeating them to ourselves on a daily basis and in the process they become part of our habit. If the belief system is wrong, then someone definitely develops a very wrong habit. To develop the right habits we need to hear the right words and keep repeating the words to ourselves so that we can eventually become the words. One of the greatest habit that we should all aspire to develop is the habit of being or becoming successful. There is a song I hear in Churches which goes like " O Lord remember a poor man like me, if you are blessing others, bless me also" wow! it sounds religiously correct but in essence its a very bad affirmation of poverty on yourself. Jesus actually advised his disciples that when you pray believe that you already have received them even before you actually physically have them in your hands.

Sayings and quotes about success can have a powerful effect on you. If you take the time to think about the deeper meaning behind the words, you'll realize how easily you can apply these sayings into your own life to achieve the success you desire.

Here are the top ten inspirational success quotes, as well as some self-reflection questions to ponder:
1. I've failed over and over and over again in my life, and that is why I succeed. - Michael Jordan

  • ·          Every failure brings an opportunity for growth and sets you up for future success in a new effort. For example, failing at one job may bring you the opportunity to enjoy great success in another. Learning from failure will lead you to greater achievement.

2. It is no use saying, "We are doing our best." You have got to succeed in doing what is necessary. - Sir Winston Churchill

  • ·          Too often, people use "I did my best" as an excuse for not doing what really needed to be done. Plan and prepare appropriately for the task at hand so that you can do what is required to succeed. Using this results-oriented strategy will help you accomplish your goal.

3. We are told that talent creates its own opportunities. But it sometimes seems that intense desire creates not only its own opportunities, but its own talents. - Eric Hoffer

  • ·          Try new things to spark your passions and develop your talents. You may actually have talents that you're completely unaware of. When you desire something with a fiery passion, your mind will push you to take action and persevere until you're successful.

4. We were born to succeed, not to fail. - William Barclay

  • ·          You were put on the Earth to succeed in your pursuits. When you use your God-given gifts, abilities, and strengths to fulfill your purpose, success is within your grasp.

5. Success is not the key to happiness - happiness is the key to success. -Herman Cain

  • ·          When you're happy with your life and you enjoy every moment of each day, it's easy to feel the joy of success in the smallest accomplishments. Live joyfully and your positive attitude will attract greater successes.

6. Success doesn't come to you - you go to it. - Marva Collins

  • ·          You need to take action to achieve your goals and get what you want out of life. Once you define exactly what you want, design a plan of action steps to get you there, and then follow your plan.

7. You must do the thing you think you cannot do. - Eleanor Roosevelt

  • ·          This quote is to challenge you. You must overcome your fears that are holding you back in order to become successful.

8. A great leader's courage to fulfill his vision comes from passion, not position. - John Maxwell

  • ·          Believe in yourself. Know that you can achieve anything. Put your mind to it and be passionate about that which calls your name.

9. Forget about the consequences of failure. Failure is only a temporary change in direction to set you straight for your next success. - Denis Waitley

  • ·          When you fail, opportunities open up to help you succeed. You may need to start your task anew or change your route, but each failure brings you closer to success.

10. Success is not measured by what you accomplish, but by the opposition you have encountered and the courage with which you have maintained the struggle against overwhelming odds. - Orison Swett Marden

  • ·          No matter how tough a situation may be, don't give up easily. When you persevere through great odds and overcome many challenges to achieve your goal, success is even sweeter!

Self-Reflection Questions:
1. When I suffer a setback, do I still persevere toward my goal?
2. Do I bring passion to my endeavors?
3. Have I designed my action plan to reach my goals? Have I taken swift action to get where I want to be?
